More about KC Pet Nanny

I have been a mother for 23 years, was a dog momma for 14 years, I am now a wife to my soulmate Dave and I am a proud grandma to my grandpuppy Margot.

My traits that transfer over from being a mother to my daughter Mariah are my abilities to care for animals. I am loving, caring, protective, nurturing, fun, comforting, and human... so I'm not afraid to say I’m "clueless" in certain areas. I have a love of research and learning! I have worked as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant for the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Western District of Missouri, Department of the Interior, U.S. Trustees Office, and many law firms in the private sector. I currently work part-time for a law firm that specializes in Business law. After all of that, I wanted to say I love researching topics, I especially enjoy researching the breed(s) of dog I'm going to care for. I have had the privilege of caring for many different breeds. I research their traits to become knowledgeable about their strengths, if they are alert dogs, guard dogs, hunting dogs, etc. This research gives a little background about my upcoming client. Of course every dog is different and not defined by their breeds. During a meet and greet with my fur baby client and their parents I get to learn so much about their personalities, what makes them happy, or sad, I ask, "Describe Fido's ideal day." I hear about their morning routines, games of fetch, nice long walks, short walks, performing tricks for treats, snuggling, whether they’re a person magnet, sleeping routines, nicknames and the way they will communicate their needs to me. I'm happy to say I speak doggy lingo. Well that's a little more about me!
